trying to adjust

a lot is happening and has happened in the short month i have been home from Ecuador. first, my family had a great vacation in croatia and london. we stayed in a beautiful town called Baska Voda. basically, we stayed on the beach all day, ate pizza, and homemade ice cream--kind of like italian gelato. our hotel was nice and less than a block away from the shoreline of the adriatic sea. it was beautiful, and the water was clear. it is a different beach because instead of sand, there are medium sized rocks. at first, i didnt like it, but after awhile it is nice because at the end of the day, you arent covered in sand and finding it in unknown places.
london was a totally different experience in almost every way. it is kind of like going from the quiet country to new york city, but bigger and more expensive. since the pound is double the dollar, we were in price shock...but that didnt stop us from buying. we had to face the fact that we were in london and it was going to be expensive. we went to london because the tour de france bike race started there this year. we saw the time trials and the start of stage one. it was kind of funny because tons of people wait for the bikers to ride by to get a perfect picture...and then in one minute or less, the bikers are gone...and then everyone leaves! its not like can run and beat the bikers to see them on another part of the course or anything.
then, back to chicago to get my paperwork for my graduate program at IslandWood. then, off to indy where i had a great visit with friends and family. i think i have more of a culture shock in indiana versus chicago. especially when i went to cracker barrel!! wow!! now, there is a culture shock all in itself. now, i am back in chicago still getting ready for school and trying to put a little cash in savings. i am still continually amazed at God's provision and grace and guidance! i literally feel like he is guiding me and taking care of me! i am also so thankful that he changes lives and reunites people that ends up being better than a dream come true. i am living in grace and thankful every step of the way.
