pictures of shell

here are some pictures of Shell, Ecuador where i am living...there have been some clear mornings recently, which is always a treat because you can see two volcano peaks. below is El Altar, which is the one i hiked to last spring..with all the crazy adventures. experts say that if this volcano would still be a cone shape, it would be taller than mount everest!

El Altar

here is the hospital, one of the main missions here in Shell. i live right behind the hospital...on the far left corner that you see, i basically live straight behind it...where the "compound" of missionary houses is also located.

this is the street i walk/bike past every day on my way to and from school. they are doing a lot of construction on the roads right now, which makes things very interesting. notice that there are no caution signs or cones...anywhere! and there are these tunnels/hole things everywhere!

i will post some more town pictures later hopefully! things are going well....just getting back into the swing of things...and getting used to the fact that there is nothing to do....but i am ok with that....for short periods of time.
